MALTESE IRON CROSS Studded BIKER Ring Teutonic Knights & Knight $135.00

Handcrafted .925 Sterling Silver Large Maltese Iron Cross Ring.

Ring face measures 3/4" W. Nicely detailed Maltese Iron Cross on decorative band.

Designed by artist, Tara Greer as a Celtic Jackalope Exclusive!

Available in sizes 7-12; specify size when sending payment.

Tara designed this ring for anyone who has an interest in HISTORY, CHIVALRY and especially THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR. Sexy Studs surround this statuesque IRON CROSS "like bolts on a Knights Armour". Cutting edge style from both the past & present will keep this piece forever timeless for both Men & Woman alike.

ABOUT THE IRON MALTESE CROSS: This cross is often associated with Crusaders or the Crusades. The heraldic cross "pattée" (a type of cross that has arms which are narrow at the center, and broader at the perimeter. The name comes from the fact that the shape of each arm of the cross was thought to resemble a paw - French patte) was used by the Crusader order, the Teutonic Knights and later became associated with Prussia and the 1871-1918 German empire.

The cross pattée is also associated with another Crusader order, the Knights Templar. Along with the Templars, modern Freemason or Mason organizations use the pattée too... Jacques de Molay was the 23rd and officially last Grand Master of the Knights Templar, leading the Order from approximately 1292 until the Order was dissolved by order of the Pope "& we all know how that ended, right!"
